Joining
Candidacy for membership into a graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is by invitation only and open to women of high ethical and scholastic standards who have obtained an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university. Learn more
Reactivating/Transferring Membership
For members reactivating or transferring into Alpha Lambda Omega, we welcome you with open arms. Please be sure to complete the Reactivation Form or Transfer Verification Form. Chapter Meeting
Chapter meetings are open to duly initiated members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Proof of membership is required and must be verified prior to entering the meeting. Meeting time and location is as follows:
Every second Saturday
11:00 A.M.
East Stonewall Family Life Center, 1729 Griers Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28216
Note: There are no meetings held in July and August. Location is subject to change. Please view the Events Calendar to confirm.
Visitors
Visiting members are asked to provide two forms of identification for meeting entry. Primary identification may include any government issued ID. Secondary identification may include, but are not limited to:
- A current or past financial card (in most cases, the name listed should match the primary ID; exceptions: maiden name, married name)
- A copy of your original membership certificate signed by our Corporate Office
- A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference or Boule that contains your name
- An invitation from an attending chapter member
Business attire is required for chapter meetings. Business attire does not include jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers.
Note: As of September 2022, all chapter meetings are in-person.
