Camille Y. Thompson currently serves as President of the Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. She leads more than 500 multigenerational members in the oldest graduate chapter chartered in Charlotte, N.C. She also oversees all chapter operations, philanthropy, and represents the chapter locally, regionally, and internationally. She was initiated into Alpha Lambda Omega in June 2015. For more than a decade, she has advanced the mission, vision, and values of the sorority through her participation and leadership in various committees, including fundraising, scholarship, membership, standards and bylaws. She has served as the Alpha Lambda Omega Assistant Secretary and most recently, Secretary. She is also an active member of the Graduate Advisor Committee — serving as a mentor and working with undergraduate sorority members to maximize their sorority experience. Miss Thompson currently serves on the board of the ALO Foundation, the fundraising partner of Alpha Lambda Omega, offering her expertise in governance, organizational integrity, and leadership development. A devoted member of Greater Providence Baptist Church, Miss Thompson serves faithfully in multiple capacities as the Choir President, Director of Communication, leader in the New Members Class, a member of the AV Team, and serves on the Pastoral Search Committee as both member and Secretary. “Radiating joy, gratitude, and purpose, Miss Thompson remains committed to building a lasting legacy of empowerment, unity, and excellence within Alpha Lambda Omega and the broader community.” 500+
